Ingredient:
1 1/2 cup of macaroni (cooked al dente)
3/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup Shredded Gruyere Cheese
2 tbs butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 slice of bread (cube- crust removed)
5 basil leaves (chopped)
2 tbs flour
1/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup milk
Direction:
Crumb:
In a food processor, add bread and basil, grind.
Mac and Cheese:
Melt butter on the pan. Add flour, whisk until smooth. Add heavy cream, whisk until they blend together, add milk slowly (keep whisking). Once it's thicken and smooth, add cheese (Gruyere and Cheddar). After the cheese is melted, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add macaroni into the pan, mix well. Move the macaroni into a baking dish.
Sprinkle the bread crumb over the macaroni, baked 400 degrees F for 20 minutes until golden and bubly.
