Donuts:
1 cup of flour
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp butter, melted
Ingredients- Glaze
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Coat the donut baking tray with cooking spray.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Add
the buttermilk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix until well
combined.
Transfer the batter into a large zip lock bag. Snip off a corner of the bag and pipe the batter evenly into a 6 cup donut pan.
Bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the dough is set and springy (they
won't be golden brown). Let them sit for 1-2 minutes then place the
donuts on a baking rack to cool a bit.
To make
glaze, melt butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Once melted,
pour butter over powdered sugar in a small bowl. Stir in vanilla and
milk until smooth. Dip cooled donuts in glaze. Sprinkle with jimmies!
