Short cut pasta
1 garlic head
1/2 lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cups broccoli florets (cut in half)
salt, pepper, sugar
Olive oil
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Heat the oven to 450 degrees. Cut the top of the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil. Wrap in foil. Let it roast for 30 minutes. Let it cool slightly. Squeeze the garlic out, mashed with fork. Add lemon juice, 1/4 cup Parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Whisk in 1/4 cup olive oil. Set aside.
Toss broccoli with olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper. Spread them on the baking pan (single layer). Baked for 10-12 minutes.
Cook pasta according to direction. Reserve 1/4 cup of cooking water. Drain pasta, toss with garlic mixture and broccoli. Add cooking water if necessary. Seasoned with salt and pepper.
Serve with Parmesan cheese on top.
