My favorite so far. The maple syrup is not overpowering at all.
Ingredients:
1 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of half and half
1/2 cup grade A maple syrup
1/2 cup toasted chopped walnut
a pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Direction:
Mix cream, half and half, and maple syrup. Add salt and vanilla.
Let it rest in the refrigerator at least for 3 hrs, or up to 3 days.
Prepare ice cream in the ice cream maker. Add walnut during the last 3 minutes of cycle.
Serve immediately.
Best if eaten with butterscotch syrup.
